Gomora is currently preparing for the premier of its second season, however, the drama series has yet to confirm whether Buhle will be returning in the new season
The role of Buhle on Mzansi Magic’s popular soapie, Gomora, was played by Ama Qamata. The former My Perfect Family actress managed to secure two significant roles in 2020. The first was the aforementioned and the second was as the lead of Netflix South Africa’s (SA) drama series, Blood & Water.
In Blood & Water, Qamata stars as the lead, Puleng. Puleng is a teenager who believes she has found her elder sister who was kidnapped but presumed dead by her parents. Despite this, the family still celebrated her birthday annually.
After the renewal of Blood & Water for a second season, the actress announced her departure from Gomora. In the series, Buhle discovered the gory details of the family business and decided to move in with her grandparents in a different province. Qamata exited the show to reprise her role in Blood & Water.
There has been no word yet on whether Buhle will be returning in the second season of Gomora.
