Gomora’s Buhle has been confirmed to have returned formally to the world of the telenovela, following the conclusion of her shooting Netflix’s Blood & Water.
Mzansi Magic took to Twitter on Friday, 3 September 2021, to confirm the permanent return of Buhle Ndaba, played by Ama Qamata, on Gomora. Qamata has played the character since the beginning of the show. However, when the hit Netflix local original drama series, Blood & Water was commissioned for a second season, Qamata stepped away from the character to shoot. Following the conclusion of production, Qamata has returned to the world of Gomora.
Her initial return to Gomora was during the exit storyline of Siyabonga Xaba, who played her brother, Langa Ndaba. Thereafter, Buhle returned to her grandparents’ home, where she relocated to after she found out about her family’s criminal activities. However, Buhle has permanently returned, as she was allowed to resume her studies at Gomora High.
Moreover, her return comes as Mam’ Sonto, played by Connie Chiume, has taken a break for Marvel’s Black Panther production.
