You can get Hulu, Disney+, and ESPN+ in discounted Disney Bundles, but you still need to swap between the apps to view the available content.
Disney+ is one of the newest growing paid subscription video on-demand streaming services introduced. Officially launched in 2019, the streaming platform initially struggled to find a market since its content was more child-friendly.
Moreover, Disney+ followed after the establishment of its original streaming service introduced by The Walt Disney Company and Comcast, Hulu, which was launched in 2007.
In light of this, The Walt Disney Company introduced The Disney Bundles, which allows you to subscribe to Disney+, Hulu, and ESPN+ for the monthly cost of $13.99.
What is the benefit of The Disney Bundle?
The biggest advantage of The Disney Bundle subscription package is that you get to view content from three on-demand streaming services at a discounted rate when you compare the cost of single subscription packages from all three platforms.
As such, for each of the services, you can watch thousands of hit movies and TV shows from Hulu’s streaming library; channels like Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, and National Geographic on Disney+; and content like games and ESPN originals on ESPN+.
Moreover, some programming from ESPN+ can be watched on Hulu without changing between apps.
How to get Hulu on Disney+
Since Hulu, Disney+ and ESPN+ are all owned by The Walt Disney Company (hence the introduction of The Disney Bundles), adding Hulu on Disney+ or vice versa is easy and cost-effective. This is as The Disney Bundles cost $13.99 per month for all three streaming services.
A Disney+ subscription package on its own costs $7.99 a month, an ESPN+ alone is $6.99 per month, and Hulu’s lowest subscription package costs $6.99 per month with ads.
Alternatively, you can pay $69.99 for Hulu’s annual ad-supported subscription package. If you combine the prices of the individual subscription fees, paying $13.99 for all three services is a bargain.
Therefore, if you have purchased The Disney Bundles on Disney+, to complete the activation process you must sign up with Hulu to activate your discounted price for all three on-demand platforms.
You will be sent an activation link to the email address you registered to Disney+ with. Thereafter, you have to complete a three-step process, which is:
- Login to your Disney+ account page and select “Billing Details”
- Select “Watch Now” next to Hulu
- Create your new Hulu account and start streaming
Once this is done, you can enjoy the content of all three on-demand streaming services and the viewing experience does not happen via a single platform.
Can I watch Hulu as a Disney+ add-on?
The Disney Bundles might suggest that the bundles containing Hulu, Disney+, and ESPN+ are available through the primary on-demand service.
However, this is not the case. Each on-demand streaming service’s content can be watched from each respective platform. Disney+ and Hulu cannot be accessed via the other and must be downloaded as separate apps, but can be accessed with the same login details.
Hulu does have some of the ESPN+ content, but not original content and its more exclusive content. Those are restricted by ESPN+ exclusively to its platform .
Who is eligible for The Disney Bundles?
In order to be eligible for The Disney Bundles, you must be over the age of 18 years old. Secondly and most importantly, you have to live in the US.
This is mostly due to the fact that Hulu is restricted to the United States, Puerto Rico, US military bases, and some parts of Japan with restrictions on the content available outside the US.
You are required to have a US credit card to register with Hulu. Therefore, if you do not meet these requirements, you are not eligible for The Disney Bundles.
Can I get Hulu no-ads with The Disney Bundles?
Hulu offers the monthly no-ads subscription package for $12.99. For the most part, we have written about The Disney Bundles in comparison to what you would pay for each individual service and Hulu ad-supported packages specifically.
However, you can also choose the non-ad supported Hulu subscription with your Disney Bundles, and the change in the monthly bill is $19.99, which is still relatively affordable for the three platforms it provides access to.
