I Am Bishop I Makamu: The Bishop reprimands some of his employees

Tuesday night’s episode of I Am Bishop I Makamu saw the Bishop explaining his controversial comments which stated that women throw themselves at men in power.

The latest episode of Moja Love’s I Am Bishop I Makamu, which aired on Tuesday, 13 August 2019, saw the Bishop reconcile with Bishop Vusi Dube, after a social media war that took place between them. The team also prepared for The Curse breaking night which took place at the Moses Mabhida Stadium and the Bishop gave the grade 12’s at Thutopele High School a sermon with a purpose prayer. The theme of reconciliation was evident throughout the episode as he tried to make peace with his social media critics, who remain outraged by his comments.

Viewers remained split on social media, with some stating that as a religious leader, he should not be making such comments, whilst others defended him for his honesty. Dimpho Mohuba commented, “Stop making such clumsy comments. They are demeaning to women and disrespectful to your wife and kids. As a man of God, stop trying to justify your statement.” Buhle Mageba disagreed, stating, “What [he] said is true…and it happens even at work. Some ladies have tendencies of throwing themselves at men of high authority.”

The reality series is described as an introduction to the man to whom a few people have access away from the pulpit. Bishop I Makamu is known to many as a religious leader who preaches to his congregation about Christianity, empowering them to its teachings through his sermons.

I Am Bishop I Makamu airs on Tuesdays at 22:00 on Moja Love, DStv channel 157.
