Idols SA: The Top Four perform, following Viggy’s voluntary exit from the show

Sunday night’s episode of Idols SA saw the Top Four performing two songs each, with no elimination this week, following Viggy’s voluntary exit from the show last week.

The latest episode of Mzansi Magic’s Idols SA, which aired on Sunday, 27 October 2019, saw the Top Four contestants taking a journey down memory lane as they performed their favourite songs from their high school days, as well as their parents’ favourite hits from their own high school days. Last night’s showcase also saw a guest performance from South African house DJ, Prince Kaybee, who performed his chart-topping song, Gugulethu, featuring Indlovukazi, Supta, and the Afro Brotherz.

Last night’s episode saw Nolo performing Earth Wind and Fire’s Let’s Groove and Bruno Mars’ Lazy song; Micayla with Roxette’s It Must Have Been Love and Ariana Grande’s Dangerous Woman; Luyolo with The Commodores’ Night Shift and Usher’s OMG and Sneziey with Brenda Fassie’s Umuntu Ngabantu and Black Coffee featuring Bucie’s Superwoman.

Viewers shared their opinions of last night’s performances on social media, with many appealing for others to vote for their favourites. Kefentse Enhle said, “This is the time where we need to vote. This always happens when we think our favourite is safe so we leave it up to others. Then we are disappointed when they don’t win. Please everyone, keep voting!”

Idols SA airs on Sundays at 17:00 on Mzansi Magic, DStv channel 161.
