It’s Personal Picnic set to return in 2019

Electronic/dance music and food festival It’s Personal Picnic is set to return to Johannesburg on Saturday, 16 March 2019, with Dave DK and Johannes Brecht as the headline acts.

Festival-goers can expect international artists and headliners Johannes Brecht, Dave DK and Innellea. These acts will be supported by local acts DJ Shimza, Pierre Johnson, Kususa, 2lani The Warrior, JustSmart, Rob Sloan and Rob Toca.

Headliners Dave DK and Johannes Brecht are electronic DJs. Johannes has a popular house EP titled Stekker in collaboration with German powerhouse, Stimming. Innellea is a DJ duo that focuses on an alternative techno sound.

The festival is due to be hosted at Val Bonne Country Estate in Modderfontein Johannesburg. The picnic aims to provide its audience with a scenic outdoors festival where good music meets good food. The festival offers a unique take on a party as it is not indoors or focused on light-shows or special effects, but rather offers its guests a nature-filled day party that fades into a nighttime blowout. There will be various food vendors on site to cater for the festival.

Previous iterations of It’s Personal Picnic have hosted the elite in the South African dance and electronic music scene. Past headliners include Black Coffee, GoldFish and Crazy White Boy.

Tickets for the event are available for purchase from Howler, retailing between R175 and R1000.
