JazziDisciples release their latest studio album, Disciples Of Piano

Popular music duo, JazziDisiples, released their 14-track studio album, Disciples Of Piano, on Friday, 1 November 2019; with features from the likes of Okmalumkoolkat and DJ Buckz.

The release of the complete album follows the duo’s EP called IOP EP, released in May 2019. The EP was an amapiano body of work that was promoted through singles like Fearless, Bozza Starring, Fallen Guitar and Piano Is A Language.

Disciples Of Piano sees the duo continue to add live instrumentations on the now distinct sound of the house music sub-genre. Throughout the album, the duo creates a call card with the addition of strings and percussions as part of the melody progression of every song on the album.

Some of the singles that were released to promote the album include My Sunday, featuring Mporoza, Sgubhu Se Monati, featuring fellow amapiano producer and deejay, DJ Virgo Deep, and vocalist, DJ Buckz. The last lead single from the album was Ilanga, featuring vocalists, Baritone Hlokza and Mpura. All the singles provide an overview of the album, from the soundscape and ambient songs that are similar to My Sunday, to the afro-beats and deep house-inspired singles like Sgubhu Se Monati, and up-tempo songs like Ilanga.

The album also features vocalist, Debranist, on Weyo; Amukelani on Uthando, Mzu M on Hey Afrika and Wela, and Nomisupasta on Live Your Life. A surprise feature is hip-hop artist, Okmalumkoolkat, on, Ama Issue, alongside return feature, Debranist.

Some of the other standout songs on the album include Fire & Ice, Macnose and Thixo.

The album is available for purchase on Apple Music.
