Jo-Anne Reyneke confirms season two of Black Tax

Jo-Anne Reyneke has confirmed that season two of BET Africa’s Black Tax is underway, as the writers are working hard at developing a new script that is funnier than before.

Jo-Anne Reyneke stars as the lead in BET Africa’s Black Tax, whose first season aired in January 2020. The comedy series highlights the responsibility of young individuals who are tasked with caring for their family members after getting a job and climbing the ladder of success.

The series was a great success for the channel, and was noted as the first original comedy from BET Africa. Jo-Anne has teased the possibility of a second season on her Instagram page before, however, in an interview with JustNje on Wednesday, 17 February 2021, the actress confirmed that it is, indeed, on the way.

Jo-Anne revealed that the writers are currently hard at work and coming up with a new and exciting script. She stated, “For sure, it is happening. It’s coming… I’m not sure what time this year, but we are hoping to have it delivered to you guys. The response was so great for season one that I am so grateful for season two.”
