Jub Jub has affirmed his continued support for controversial religious leader, Bishop Israel Makamu, whose situation he described as “troubled waters.”
Jub Jub took to Instagram on Sunday, 20 June 2021, to affirm that he is still friends with controversial religious leader and Moja Love colleague, Bishop Israel Makamu. The bishop has lost his public credibility, following the leaked audio of him allegedly attempting to proposition a female member of his congregation. Since then, it has been reported that the girl’s family attempted to have Makamu arrested. According to reports, the bishop also refused to apologise and allegedly tried to bribe the family for their silence.
Makamu denied the allegations levelled against him in the two-part series of Moja Love’s AmaBishop. He claimed that the leaked audio was of him attempting to find out if the young woman had the keys to the church. This is despite the clear choice of words used by the general populace, which are understood to have referred to something other than keys.
Despite many distancing themselves from Makamu, Jub Jub has made it clear that Makamu is still his friend. Moreover, he described the situation as “troubled waters,” and committed to standing by him during this trying time.
