Published on

Katlego Maboe has been confirmed to be taking a leave of absence from his role as co-host of SABC 3’s Expresso Morning Show, amidst an investigation on allegations of violence.

Katlego Maboe has been accused of domestic violence and infidelity by his wife and the mother of his child, Monique Muller. Monique’s brother, Seth Muller, publicised the allegations on social media, and further accused him of giving her a sexually transmitted disease (STD) after being unfaithful to her. The video being circulated on social media shows Katlego seemingly admitting to being intimate with another woman by the name of Nikita Murray during their marriage.

Katlego’s team at Cardova Productions issued a statement today, 23 October 2020, which confirmed that he would not be appearing on Expresso Morning Show until the allegations made against him have been duly investigated. It stated, “Certain serious allegations have been posted on social media about Mr Katlego Maboe and, last night, a video was leaked showing Mr Maboe seemingly admitting to cheating on his partner. We have been informed that a legal process relating to the allegations is currently sub-judice.”

The statement added, “We condemn any acts of violence and mistreatment, especially against women and children, and therefore, take such allegations very seriously. Until such time as the matter has been fully investigated, and pending the outcome, Mr Maboe will not be appearing on the Expresso Morning Show.
