Dineo Langa, who played Kea on The Queen, has since moved on to star as Mmakoena Molefe in the newly premiered SABC 3 series, The Estate.
In August 2020, The Queen bid farewell to one of its original cast members, Dineo Langa, with an underwhelming episode that saw her character, Kea Khoza, being killed in an off-screen car bombing accident. While her on-screen departure appeared to not meet viewers’ expectations, it did spark much conversation and criticism from fans.
Ferguson Films, the production company behind the Mzansi Magic series, has faced backlash numerous times for the alleged poor treatment of actors. Similarly, when Langa reportedly requested time off to explore other acting opportunities, it was alleged that the production denied her request and subsequently dismissed her.
Following her departure from the soapie, Langa first introduced a fashion line that she started with her husband, Zothile “Solo” Langa, called Port of Langa, where she holds the title of Executive Creative Director. Moreover, the media personality returned to the silver screen as part of the cast of the new SABC 3 series, The Estate, where she assumes the role of Mmakoena Molefe.
