Fans have praised the remix of the song, which was originally released as part of the singer’s ‘Suncity’ EP in October 2018.
RnB singer, Khalid, announced on Friday, 11 January 2019, that the remix of his song ‘Saturday Nights’ was now available for purchase and streaming on all platforms, including iTunes.
The star teamed up with country singer, Kane Brown, for a brand new rendition of the song which is part of Khalid’s latest EP titled ‘Suncity’ that was released in October 2018. The seven-track EP also spawned the hit song ‘Better’ and featured Empress Of on the title track.
Fans have been raving about the collaboration on social media with some admitting that they are “obsessed” with the version of the song. Some were surprised that the two artists, who have very different musical styles, were able to blend their vocals so well.
The song is still recognisable as Khalid’s work, having the smooth sound that the star offers to his fans. But Brown’s contribution gives the song a fresh and interesting feel. The release of the songs follows a week of successes for the young singer.
Pop Crave announced on Wednesday, 9 January 2019, that the star’s music video for the song ‘Better’ reached 100 million views on YouTube. The song is currently at the number 30 spot on the Billboard top 100 spot.
His collaboration with Halsey and Benny Blanco on ‘Eastside’ peaked at the number 11 this week, rising from number 21. The ‘Location’ hit-maker has also been nominated for an iHeartRadio award for his cover of Tracy Chapman’s ‘Fast Car’.
