KLY Red Box: Keep Love Young & Friends concert

South African musician, KLY, continues his promotional efforts for his Red Box: Keep Love Young & Friends concert, which will be hosted and headlined by the artist, featuring three other co-headliners.

The first announcement that multi-talented artist, KLY, made on his upcoming music concert was on Wednesday, 19 June 2019, when he shared the promotional poster for the upcoming concert. The Red Box: Keep Love Young & Friends is the artist’s brain child, with the inspiration of the concert’s name taken from his name, which is also the title of his debut album, Keep Love Young, which was released in November 2018.

Although KLY is the main act for the concert, which is set to take place on Friday, 16 August 2019 at Zone 6 in Diepkloof, Soweto, he has announced three other musical acts that will be joining him on stage. The three music performances will cover the house, pop and hip-hop music genres. The first co-headliner is the iconic music duo, Mafikizolo, who are joined by internationally recognised producer and deejay, DJ Maphorisa, and the last co-headliner is hip-hop artist, Priddy Ugly.

Besides the co-headliners, the line-up boasts over 35 acts, with the cliff hanger of surprise artists that will also take the stage during the festivities. Some of the notable names that will be there include Kabza De Small, Major League DJz, Samthing Soweto, Rouge, Manu WorldStar, Zingah, Tshego and Focalistic.

The poster, similar to the name of the concert, shows how strategic the artist is about the cohesiveness of his brand. The colour red, which is the primary colour used in the making of the poster, is also contained in his latest single, Red Forest, which the visuals thereof being released on Friday, 21 June 2019, and tell the story of a toxic relationship.

Doors to the venue will open at 18:00. Tickets are available for purchase on Webtickets, retailing between R100 and R250.
