Kwesta announces Nasty C and A-Reece as headlining acts for the 2018 Umshubhelo Music Festival

Kwesta will be hosting the Umshubhelo Music Festival for a second consecutive year, and took to social media to reveal Nasty C and A-Reece as headline acts.

Award-winning South African Hip-Hop artist Kwesta took to social media on Monday, 29 October 2018, to reveal that Nasty C and A-Reece have been confirmed as the headlining acts for the upcoming Umshubhelo Music Festival. Kwesta is the founder of Raplyf Records and the festival is Raplyf’s biggest music festival. It will be returning for a second year after its successful launch last year.

Speaking to local media in an article published on Thursday, 4 January 2018, winner of the Russian Bear #IAmNext Campaign spoke of his experience at the 2017 Umshubhelo Music Festival.

“I felt ready to unleash in front of the Umshubhelo Festival Crowd,” he said. “Kwesta is such an inspiration, dropping out of high school to chase his dreams and starting a label to usher in new talent. He is an undeniable inspiration to the entertainment industry. Kwesta knows how to play the game. When it came time to drop our track, I was ready and tuned in, because I had faith in my lessons from the master.”

The festival is set to take place at the Huntersfield Stadium in Johannesburg on Sunday, 16 December 2018.

Following the announcement, fans have taken to social media to express their excitement.

Tickets for the festival are available for purchase on Computicket, and are currently retailing at R80, for general access and R250 for VIP. Ticket prices will increase on Thursday, 1 November 2018, and again on Saturday, 1 December 2018.
