Now in its third year, Kwesta will be hosting his annual 3-Day spring day event at the Germiston Lake from Friday, 28 September 2018 until Sunday, 30 September 2018. The festival is expected to attract 30,000 people from the greater Ekhuruleni area.

The festival will provide a wide variety of entertainment with themed parties, gaming stations, boat cruises and a gentlemen’s club. The line-up boasts over 100 performing artists, including the likes of AKA, Distruction Boyz, Cassper Nyovest and Kid X.

Kwesta also reached out to up-and-coming artists on social media and urged them to submit samples of their work to stand a chance to perform at the event. The rapper often speaks of the need to create authentically South African music and to provide artists with a platform to showcase their skills.

In an interview with local media on Tuesday, 3 July 2018, Kwesta spoke about the importance of producing proudly South African music that celebrates the country’s authenticity and reiterated the need to stay original.

“My music comes from the fact that I grew up here,” he said. “All my stories are South African and people can understand that. I mention where I’m from all the time and celebrate it without fear. I want people to know that I come from a beautiful place and that I don’t come from complete hopelessness. That’s why I am so fearless, because K1 raised me and the world must come see this beautiful place.”

Tickets for the event are available at Computicket and prices range from R150 to R600.
