Kwesta took to Instagram to preview the Njandini music video, which is one of the singles from his double release project, 2 Skeif.
Kwesta shared a preview of the Njandini music video on Wednesday, 1 July 2020. The 15-second clip showcased very little of the music video’s narrative, as it featured the rapper sitting in a dark hall with graffiti on the walls.
The preview ended with running credits teasing the upcoming release, while also emphasising Kwesta’s subtle advocacy for the use of tstotsi taal, which is evident in the way “coming soon” is written. The music video seems like it will continue Kwesta’s pursuit to anchor himself as a cross between a kwaito and hip-hop artist.
The rapper’s behind-the-scenes visuals reveal more about the upcoming music video than the teaser, as they showcase Kwesta’s continued celebration of his township, Katlehong, and a possible cameo by music legend, Zola 7.
