Lerato Kganyago pledges support for Lady Zamar following her abuse allegations against Sjava

Lerato Kganyago was one of the first media personalities to pledge her support for singer, Lady Zamar, after she alleged that she was abused by artist, Sjava.

Lady Zamar was initially at the receiving end of social media’s backlash after it was first revealed that she had dated rapper, Sjava, while he was allegedly still married to a woman that was introduced publically to South Africa on Sunday, 27 October 2019, at his One Night With Sjava concert.

One of the first popular media personalities to defend the Collide hit maker was all-round media personality, Lerato Kganyago, who is no stranger to being at the receiving end of social media’s stinging comments. Lerato took to Twitter on Tuesday, 29 October 2019, and lambasted social media users that were allegedly victim-blaming Lady Zamar. She wrote, “Seeing women coming for Lady Zamar is nauseating. We have a long way to go!”

She then continued showing her support by tagging her in a post that said, “Shout to women still recovering from trauma but still showing up for life.” Lerato was not the only popular media personality that publicly pledged their support for Lady Zamar. Mihlali Ndamase took to Twitter and said, “Nothing bores me more than the “so and so’s ex” tweets. “

She continued by questioning, “Why don’t you say people’s names and leave their ex’s out of their mess. When you want to speak about women you write out handles but when it’s time to call out men, [it’s] “Mihlali’s ex,” did you forget his name?”

One of the other popular names to pledge their support for Lady Zamar was rapper, Nadia Nakai, that worked on a song with Lady Zamar called Darkness Defined. In her message of support, Nadia stated, “This breaks my heart! You [are] such a beautiful soul, I’m literally shook. [I’m] sending you love!”
