Multiple award-winning South African songstress, Lira, will wrap up the year with a performance at the Kirstenbosch Summer Sunset Concert on Sunday, 30 December 2018.
South African songstress, Lira, is gearing up to perform at the Kirstenbosch Summer Sunset Concert on Sunday, 30 December 2018. The ‘Feel Good’ hit-maker has been performing at various shows around the country this festive season, with her most recent performance being at the Durban Jazz Festival which took place at the Hazelmere Dam yesterday, 26 December 2018. The likes of Vusi Nova, Zonke, Mlindo The Vocalist and Nathi Mankayi are just some of the artists that also took to the stage on the day.
Fans have taken to social media to praise her vocal ability and stage presence, both of which have earned her critical acclaim and worldwide recognition. The songstress notes that branching out and introducing her music to a global audience required her to perform at more modest shows, as opposed to huge arenas or stadiums as she would in South Africa, in order to gradually establish an international fan-base.
The Summer Sunset Concert will be held at the Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens in Cape Town. Lira is a multi-platinum selling artist, and is one of South Africa’s most respected and celebrated musicians who continues to release timeless music that resonates with people of all ages.
Tickets for the event are still available for purchase on Webtickets, retailing from R150. Gates are set to open at 16:00, with the show scheduled to run from 17:00 until 19:00.
