Lira to make debut performance in Sebokeng at One Big Night concert

Published on

Celebrated South African afro-soul singer, Lira, announced that she will be making her debut performance in Sebokeng in August at the One Big Night concert.

News that Feel Good singer, Lira, is heading to Sebokeng was announced on Wednesday, 26 June 2019. Lira will be the headlining act for the all-female line-up for the One Big Night concert, taking place on Saturday, 31 August 2019. The announcement of the scheduled performance left fans of the singer in pleasant disbelief, as this will be the artist’s first time performing in Sebokeng. The One Big Night concert will be held at the Saul Tsotetsi Sports Centre in Sebokeng, Zone 14.

Although Lira is the headlining act for the concert, with her picture featured front and centre on the promotional poster, she will be joined by two other female supporting acts on the night. The first is rising star and female house vocalist, Holly Rey, who recently won big at the 2019 South African Music Awards, walking away with the coveted Record Of The Year award for her song, Deeper. The monumental win made her the second solo female artist, after Brenda Fassie, to walk away with the award.

The second supporting act is upcoming female vocalist, Zamo.

Following the news of Lira’s performance, a fan took to Twitter to confirm Lira’s performance at the concert.  Lira replied with an affirmative tweet, humorously stating, “strue sbob.”

The concert is scheduled to start at 19:00. Tickets are available for purchase on Computicket.
