Listen to Bazzi’s new single, Caught In The Fire

American rapper and singer Bazzi released his latest single Caught In The Fire on Monday, 1 April 2019.

The emotive single talks about the state of chaos Americans are currently subjected to. The song illustrates the singer’s frustration with society and its governance, with his opening verse referencing “a racist orange man.” The singer announced the release of the single on Instagram on Sunday, 31 March 2019, with the single’s cover art showing a doll caught on fire and a caption stating, “This last year has been particularly hard for me. this world has pushed a certain anger and frustration into my heart … I let some of that pain go on this record.”

In an interview with Zane Lowe on Apple Music’s Beats 1, Bazzi delved into his feelings behind the song, stating “The verses have this almost anger, this frustration, and then that hook comes in and it’s the vulnerable side of me that’s purely hurting.”
