British singer-songwriter Labrinth released his new single, Miracle, on Friday, 7 June 2019.
Labrinth plays with genres with the release of his new single, Miracle. The mid-tempo feel-good single takes listeners on a journey. The song starts with chanting then goes sparse, only focusing on the sound of dripping water and Labrinth’s smooth vocals. The first chorus introduces electronic and skrillex influences, which continues to build before introducing a violin symphony too. The end of the song provides a surprise of its own with an unexpected acapella outro.
The artist continually surprises with Miracle, as the single’s cover art uses unrelated imagery to produce a beautiful but unexpected composition. The cover art features an other-worldly figure of shades of ash grey seated among bouquets of flowers. The figure poses for the camera in a dull room that is brought to life by the flowers. The imagery is gripping to look at but beckons the observer to try to understand the intention.
The single is available for purchase on Apple Music.
