South African actress and musician, Quing Simz, released her sophomore single, Thanda Ngempela, featuring Global Decaphfe on Friday, 2 August 2019, dedicated to her late husband, Dumi Masilela.
Quing Simz, popularly known by her real name, Simphiwe Ngema, has released her follow-up single to her debut track, Thola Khona. The singer delivers a surprising single with the mid-tempo, afro-soul song, which is a different offering from her house-based introductory single. The singer leads the song, with the surprising verse from rapper, Global Decaphfe, not taking away from her soulful vocals.
The artist first announced the single on Thursday, 18 July 2019, when she shared its official cover art across her social media pages. The song’s artwork features an image from Quing Simz’s wedding to her late husband, Dumi Masilela. Although it has been two years since his passing, the artist continues to honour his memory and the song further proves her undying love.
In her first post about the upcoming single, the musician made it explicit the extent to which she loves him. In her caption, Quing Simz stated, “Forever and always #eternalcrush…”
Quing Simz is already planning to promote the single through a live performance on Sunday, 4 August 2019. The singer announced that she is planning the single’s launch party at Republic of 94 in Braamfontein, Johannesburg. The music event will start at 16:00 and will end at 22:00.
The artist will also perform her hit debut single, Thola Khona, which was released on Friday, 3 May 2019. Similar to the messaging of her follow up single, Thola Khona also pays homage to her late husband.
