Listen to The Cinematic Orchestra’s new album, To Believe

British group The Cinematic Orchestra released their fifth studio album To Believe on Friday, 15 March 2019.

To Believe, the group’s first release in twelve years, is a seven-track nu-jazz album that features a mixture of instrumental songs, powerful ballads and alternative beats.

The album kicks off with the beautiful and melancholic title-track, To Believe. The song features a soulful rendition from singer Moses Sumney about serving as a beacon of light for somebody that has lost hope.

A Caged Bird/Imitations of Life contrasts the delicacy of the album with its rhythmic, percussive-heavy beat alongside Roots Manuva’s deep raps. Songs like Lessons and The Workers Of Art are more than transition songs, but rather, displays of the bands instrumental talent. A Promise, featuring Heidi Vogel, rounds off the album. This is a powerful song about hardships and pain, as well as putting yourself back together after a dark time.

The album is available for purchase on iTunes.
