Rapper Yung Gravy released his new album Sensational today, 31 May 2019.
The 13-track album hosts a number of features from hip hop heavyweights such as Juicy J on Buttered Up, Mia Gladstone on Charlene, Pouya, Ramirez and Trippy Tha Kid on The Boys Are Back In Town, bbno$ on Whip A Tesla, Lil Mayo on E.T and Lil Baby on Alley Oop. The album delivers a genre unique to Yung Gravy, who blends together elements of trap with music influences of the 50s and 60s.
The opening song, Gravy For The Pope, perfectly showcases the rapper’s sound as it displays his mainstream hip-hop vocal ability, whilst cushioned with nostalgic brass and 50s-inspired instrumentation. The album cover art for Sensational showcases Yung Gravy in a dated ensemble, posing next to a woman wearing an afro, whilst holding colourful guns. They appear on a rainbow-intergalactic runway with a tiger and a disco ball beside them.
The album is available for purchase on iTunes.
