Lorna has successfully managed to establish herself as one of SA’s go-to celebrity chefs and will be catering for one of the premium lounges at the festival.
Top Billing presenter and celebrity, chef Lorna Maseko is preparing to cook up a storm at the upcoming DSTV Delicious International Food and Music Festival. The festival will take place on at the Kyalami Grand Prix Circuit in Midrand on Saturday, 22 September 2018 and Sunday, 23 September 2018.
Speaking to local media on Monday, 17 September 2018, Lorna has expressed her excitement for one of the biggest Spring social events.
“I think it’s going to be absolutely fabulous,” she said. “When you put food, entertainment and a great vibe together, it can only be the perfect ingredient to the most amazing recipe. There is an interactive dessert table that I’m excited about. There is something for everyone. If you come on a Sunday and you are hung over, there is something to sort you out. There is a healthy option. It’s a feast for the eyes, palate and ears.”
Lorna will be catering for the event’s Ambassador Luxury Suite and she is currently preparing the menu for the premium lounge. The lounge’s VIP experience costs just over R4,000 a day, and nearly R8,000 for the weekend.
The former professional ballerina has established herself as one of the key celebrity chefs in South Africa, appearing in popular TV cooking shows such as Top Chef and The Hostess with Lorna Maseko.
The event will be headlined by the legendary Erykah Badu, who will be joined by international club DJ Louie Vega and local acts such as Amanda Black, DJ Oskido, Lira, DJ Fresh and Simphiwe Dana.
