Maps Maponyane has spoken out about the importance of abiding by the rules and regulations put in place to combat the spread of COVID-19, and has shown how his restaurant, Buns Out, does so.

Maps Maponyane took to Instagram on Tuesday, 26 January 2021, to share an important public service announcement in collaboration with the Solidarity Fund. The media personality and businessman is the proud owner of the Buns Out franchise, which now boasts two restaurants in Johannesburg.

Maps expressed that Buns Out has been in compliance with the rules and regulations of Alert Level 3 since resuming operations. He stated, “…There’s so much we can all do to keep our ship afloat and get it back on track! Whether it’s your business or as an individual, let’s continue to do whatever we can to help prevent the spread of the coronavirus, save lives and save livelihoods.”

The post also included a video of Maps visiting his Linden-based restaurant, where he demonstrated how guests are sanitized and have their temperature checked upon entry. He also informed his customers on how to correctly wear a mask when in public, emphasising the fact that it needs to be worn over the mouth and nose.
