Mayuri Naidu joins cast of Isono as Dr Fahmieda Rasdien

Mayuri Naidu has been announced as one of the newest cast members of BET Africa’s weeknight drama, Isono, taking on the character of Dr Fahmeida Rasdien.

Mayuri Naidu has joined the cast of BET Africa’s Isono, and made her debut in early January 2021. In a statement from Viacom Networks Africa on Wednesday, 27 January 2021, the show detailed the character and her contribution to the show.

Mayuri takes on the role of Dr Fahmeida Rasdien, a prison doctor who loves her work but knows the prisoners are always trying to take advantage of her kind nature. She comes across as a woman with a calm demeanour, which causes her to become wary of the dangerous inmates.

Mayuri Naidu has been a part of numerous South African telenovelas throughout her career, and previously starred in shows such as Muvhango, High Rollers, Broken Vows and Generations. On Wednesday, 6 January 2021, the actress shared her character announcement on Instagram, captioning it with a series of doctor-related emojis.
