Amapiano duo, MFR Souls have released their latest single Krrr (Phum’imali), featuring Kwesta and GP Ma Orange, which is an independent single from their recently released EP, The Beginning.
MFR Souls released their new single, Krrr (Phum’imali) On Friday, 15 May 2020. The single features acclaimed rapper, Kwesta, and also introduces new talent, GP Ma Orange. The upbeat Amapiano single derives its title from the sound an ATM makes when a person withdraws money, hence the phum’imali, which, when translated directly from isiZulu means, “money coming out.”
GP Ma Orange is the stage name of popular actor, Israel Matseke Zulu, who is known for playing various gangster roles in television and film projects like Yizo Yizo, Rhythm City and Tjovitjo. The GP Ma Orange stage name came in 2018 when the actor released his first single, Intuthwe.
MFR Souls have been promoting the release of the new single as early as March 2020, after plans of a joint single with Amapiano darling, Kamo Mphela, Major League DJz and Bontle Smith fell through, thereby making Krrrr (Phum’ilmali) as the official lead single for the duo.
The single is available for purchase on Apple Music.
