Mihlali Ndamase has been vocal about her stance on South African men in the past, which she continues to hold, as she recently expressed that she wishes that Twitter was only for women.
Mihlali Ndamase shared a tweet on Wednesday, 13 January 2021, in which she expressed her frustration with men who are active on social media, particularly on Twitter. The beauty blogger recently came under fire when she made a comment supporting Black-owned businesses, which some of her followers took offense to. Thereafter, she tweeted, “I wish there was Twitter for women only, because that other gender ruins everything.”
Some users speculated that her tweet was because of the comments to her earlier post, which are believed to have been dominated by male Twitter users. Others tried to make light of her comment, with one user commenting, “Some of them are funny, we need the jokes.”
Mihlali responded to the post by stating, “I only laugh at my man’s jokes, so I wouldn’t know.” Other followers disagreed with Mihlali, as they believe that women are bound to pin themselves against each another and that men strike a necessary balance.
