The annual Miss South Africa pageant will be broadcast live on Mzansi Magic and M-Net on Friday, 9 August 2019.
According to a statement issued by the official sponsor, LFP Group, in May 2019, the 2019 Miss South Africa pageant will be held at Sun International’s flagship venue, the Sun Arena at Times Square in Pretoria, and will be aired live on both M-Net and Mzansi Magic.
The legendary pageant will see a host of South African women vying for the top position as South Africa’s beauty and philanthropic ambassador, who will be crowned on Women’s Day. LFP Group went on to state, “What better way to salute all the power women of South Africa than by hosting this prestigious pageant on Women’s Day! LFP has chosen to sponsor Miss SA as our commitment to South Africa and females around the country. We are proudly South African and are pleased to help bring one of the country’s most loved events to life!”
The official Miss South Africa website describes the quintessential title-holder as, “Compassionate and inspirational. She is a confident woman, comfortable with speaking to CEOs and dignitaries, while fearlessly using her voice for the charitable cause of her choosing. Miss SA is hard-working, charismatic and organised and has the world at her feet”.
Entries for the coveted titled opened on Monday, 13 May 2019, and closed on Monday, 10 June 2019. The latest developments on the journey to the final saw the Top 35 contestants being revealed on Wednesday, 26 June 2019. The announcement was shared on the official Miss South Africa 2019’s social media pages, along with a group photo of the finalists. ,
