Televised beauty pageant, Miss South Africa, has announced the official commencement of the application process for this year’s reign of the prestigious competition.
In an Instagram post today, 11 May 2020, pageant host, Anele Mdoda shared the official promotional clip for the upcoming pageant. She captioned the post with, “We are not looking for the next Zozi, we are looking for YOU! Entries open for Miss SA. The crown finds you but it has to find you walking towards it. We believe!”. The clip showed reigning Miss South Africa and Miss Universe, Zozibini Tunzi, sharing her guidance to the future contestants in a cinematic video.
The Miss South Africa organisation has yet to reveal the official broadcast date for the pageant, although according to previous airings, the live show is set to premiere in late 2020. Due to the coronavirus pandemic which has led to a nationwide lockdown, applications will be screened online until further notice.
