Mlindo The Vocalist expresses gratitude to Jamville for feature on Amehlo
Mlindo The Vocalist has thanked fellow musicians, Jamville, for allowing him to feature on their single, Amehlo, as they celebrate reaching over 800 000 views on YouTube for the music video.
Mlindo The Vocalist took to Instagram on Thursday, 7 January 2021, to dedicate a post to fellow musicians, Jamville. The post celebrated Jamville’s Amehlo music video, on which he is featured, reaching a milestone viewership of 800 000 on YouTube in one month. Mlindo The Vocalist captioned the post in isiZulu, translating to “Congratulations, brothers, and good job. Thank you for giving me the opportunity. Thank you very much.”
The music video was released on Friday, 4 December 2020, and the song had grown rapidly in success because of it being featured in an advertisement that was streamed on YouTube. One of the comments on the music video stated, “Heard this song as an advert from a video I was watching, as a Kenyan, I approve this song [even] though I don’t understand the language, the clicking there is very unique.”
The clip shows Jamville trying to impress a waitress at a local tavern, where one of the members serenades and dances for her as she reacts coyly. Mlindo The Vocalist then enters the video during his verse, where he plays a mechanic who attempts to flirt with a customer’s girlfriend.
