Mlindo The Vocalist took to social media to announce the title of his sophomore album, Umthandazo, which follows his critically acclaimed debut album, Emakhaya.
Mlindo The Vocalist took to social media to announce the title of his sophomore album, Umthandazo, on Tuesday, 1 September 2020. The reveal of the album’s title comes after weeks of the musician using the hashtag on his social media posts. He started using the hashtag after his discovery of a talented homeless man named Martin. Mlindo The Vocalist has since committed to working with Martin on the album, and has continued to detail his progress on social media.
Umthandazo will be the follow-up to his debut album, Emakhaya, which won the award for the Best-selling Album of 2019 at the recent South African Music Awards (SAMAs). Moreover, Mlindo The Vocalist previously revealed that the first single he is looking to release from the album is his joint single with Mthunzi, Mama. Although he has revealed the title of the upcoming album, he has yet to announce its scheduled release date.
