Organisers of the Umshubhelo Fest have announced Mobi Dixon and Major Leagues DJz as the latest additions to the all-white Easter edition line-up.
Rap superstar, Kwesta, has on Thursday, 24 January 2019, announced the addition of artists Mobi Dixon and Major League DJz to the line-up of the upcoming Umshubhelo Fest.
The Umshubhelo Fest is a musical event organised by Kwesta and Kid X’s Raplyf Records. This is the fourth edition of the event and will take place at the Huntersfield Stadium in Katlehong on Saturday, 20 April 2019. Major League DJz are known for their work in the South African hip-hop industry, having produced mega-hits like Slyza Tsotsi and Zulu Girls.
Mobi Dixon has had major success in the industry with notable works like Abantu and Love Colour Spin to his name.
The event will be an all-white affair in celebration of the Easter holidays. Kwesta, whose real name is Senzo Vilakazi, has been giving fans daily updates about the event. He promised that the festivities would dwarf any Easter celebrations that fans had ever seen.
Vilakazi has been revealing the names of the artists performing at the event in twos starting with Prince Kaybee and Busiswa on Monday, 21 January 2019. Musicians DJ Tira, Dladla Mshunqisi, Simmy and Sho Madjozi have all since been added to the official line-up.
Tickets for the event will be sold in phases. Tickets are available for purchase at Computicket retailing between R80 and R200. The star urged fans to get their tickets as soon as possible as early bird tickets and phase one tickets are extremely limited.
