Popular South African vocalist, Msaki, has been named as the headlining act for J’Something’s popular All Star Nights this coming Sunday, 14 July 2019.
Celebrated singer and songwriter, Msaki, shared that she is the headlining act for All Star Nights, hosted by Mi Casa frontman, J’Something, in partnership with athleisure brand Converse. J’Something took to his social media pages to announce Msaki’s headlining performance at his restaurant, Something’s Cooking, situated in Menlyn, Pretoria.
The performance will be an exclusive and intimate session, featuring Msaki performing her own popular hit songs and those she has made through collaborations with other popular South African artists and DJs. In his description of the intimate performance, J’Something shares that the evening will feature a three-course meal and a conversation with Msaki, before she takes the stage to perform during an unplugged session.
This lends itself to Msaki’s musical story, with the artist rising to popularity because of how she usually performs her music with just her voice and a guitar to accompany her. The soulful artist released her latest solo single in February 2019, called Limfama Ziyabona. The song gained a lot of radio airplay and continues to do so.
However, in recent months, the singer created another hit single with producer and DJ, Prince Kaybee, called Fetch Your Life. The single, was first released as one of the lead singles from Prince Kaybee’s album, Re Mmino, in February 2019. To date, the song is still a fan favourite and continues to receive just as much radio airplay as it did when it first debuted. Msaki also has another collaboration out with vocalist, Tresor, called Sondela.
Fans and supporters who are interested in being a part of the dinner need to send a direct message to J’Something on his social media pages regarding the availability of seats. For the three-course meal and unplugged performance by Msaki, interested parties will need to pay R350.
