South African house music artist and DJ, Tira, shared the artwork for his upcoming album, iKhenani, on Friday, 23 August 2019, thrilling his social media followers with the choice of fashion for the album cover.

Channelling royalty, the acclaimed DJ can be seen donning a white and gold royal-inspired outfit, completed by a gold protective vest and matching helmet. He accessorised the look with a sword and a gold shield that ties the look together. Makoya Bearings, as he is affectionately known, sits on a throne, with two royal women on each side. The women can also be seen wearing similar royal-inspired outfits that feature white dresses with gold decorations at the hem and adorned with royal regalia in the form of neck pieces. They can be seen wearing large headpieces with long veils.

It seems DJ Tira is channelling royalty with his latest cover art and has not yet explained the reason behind the choice of fashion. However, some of his Twitter followers were quick to flood the South African award-winning artist with compliments on the fashion choices as well as the music behind it. While responding to a Twitter follower’s question about the name of the album, DJ Tira explained that the album is named iKhenani, which means “the promised land” in isiZulu.
