Mzansi Magic has concluded the airing of the first season of The Real Housewives of Durban, as the contentious second part of the reunion was broadcast.
Mzansi Magic took to Twitter on Sunday, 1 August 2021, to share a post teasing the second part of the reunion special of The Real Housewives of Durban. The aim was to intrigue audiences into finding out what Nonku Williams and her mother were going to be asking of Ayanda Ncwane. Following the airing of part two, fans found out that Williams and her family were requesting Ayanda to pay the damages for Williams’ daughter to take on her father, the late Sfiso Ncwane’s surname.
Similar to the reaction shared when fans watched the season unfold on Showmax, fans could not get over the ask delivered by Williams’ mother, on behalf of their alleged ailing father. Two reasons continue to govern the reaction to Williams’ plea; first, the fact that the plea was directed at the wrong person, traditionally. Tradition dictates that Williams’ family was meant to discuss the matter with the elders from the Ncwane family.
Moreover, as Ayanda’s brother, Phupho also highlighted, the request from Williams is one that is an affront to Ayanda. This is as she is not obligated to acknowledge the children her late husband had during their marriage. However, considering that she has, it should have been enough.
In light of the conclusion of the show on Mzansi Magic, there has still been no word on whether the show has been renewed for a second season.

Ayanda has shown Nothile kindness from day one.
Are Nonku and The Queen expecting too much from her though? #RHODurban
