Mzansi Magic shares insight into upcoming Miss SA broadcast

Mzansi Magic has revealed further information about what will be included in the Miss South Africa 2020 pageant, which will see a new format to accommodate the lockdown restrictions.

Mzansi Magic issued a statement today, 19 October 2020, sharing new information about the Miss South Africa (SA) pageant, taking place on Saturday, 24 October 2020. Aside from no live audience at the showcase, the pageant will also include a number of other surprises, which have been incorporated to make the show as interactive and exciting as before.

Miss South Africa’s Director and Executive Producer, Gavin Wratten stated, “The COVID-19 pandemic may have restricted us in some ways, but it has also opened up many new and exciting opportunities. In 2020, we won’t just be broadcasting from one stage, we will actually be using the whole city of Cape Town as our stage, with additional crossings to Johannesburg.”

The pageant will be broadcast from locations on the beach, the city and the harbour, as well as from the rooftop of Miss South Africa’s apartment building in Sandton. The creators and coordinators of this year’s show have assured the audience that the format will be unlike any other, as it will not be filmed entirely in studio at The Table Bay Hotel in Cape Town.
