Mzansi Wethu has confirmed the premiere of Love & Loss and Lovers and Liars, two of its new reality format shows.
Mzansi Wethu took to Twitter on Saturday, 9 October 2021, to confirm the then imminent premieres of Love & Loss and Lovers & Liars. The two reality shows form part of the channel’s new October content. The first show, Love & Loss, is set to be hosted by author and speaker, Nobantu Webster, and Lovers & Liars is set to be hosted by former SABC 1 personality, Samora Mangesi. This show will be Mangesi’s first hosting venture following the conclusion of SABC 1’s flagship gossip and lifestyle show, Real Goboza.
According to the shared promotional statement, “The heartbreaking yet empowering docu-reality Love & Loss is back for season 2, hosted by media entrepreneur, Christian speaker and author, Nobuntu Webster. It follows the stories of widows and widowers who are trying to navigate and heal the grief that’s affected their personal and familial relationships.”
On the other hand, Lovers & Liars, which is making its series premiere, was described as, “Lovers & Liars has a different mood entirely – it’s a humorous retelling of real-life stories of people who found out their romantic partners were love frauds, and in some cases, criminals.”
Love & Loss airs on Saturdays at 19:00, while Lovers & Liars airs at 19:30. Both shows are broadcast on Mzansi Wethu, DStv channel 163.
