Nandi Madida to feature in Beyoncé’s upcoming Disney+ film, Black Is King

Nandi Madida has been announced as one of the South Africans to appear in Beyoncé’s upcoming film, Black Is King, which premieres on Disney+ on Friday, 31 July 2020.

Nandi Madida is amongst the many African stars featured in Beyoncé’s upcoming feature film, Black Is King. The film will be televised on Disney+ and will reportedly be a visual showcase of the making of her album, The Gift. The trailer, which was released on Sunday, 28 June 2020, shows a range of cameos from African personalities who portray tribal characters in the abstract feature. The quick shot of Nandi shows her posing in a baron area, wearing a purple garment with matching purple hair.

Other South Africans included in Black Is King are Connie Chiume, Nyaniso Dzedze, Warren Masemola and Moonchild Sanelly. Nandi shared the trailer for the film on her social media pages, captioning it, “Our ancestors are smiling. Black Is King – A Film By Beyoncé.”
