Nasty C and Prince Kaybee are amongst the artists featured on the Coming 2 America soundtrack, Rhythms of Zamunda, and also performed at NPR’s virtual concert, Tiny Desk.

Nasty C and Prince Kaybee are amongst the many African artists featured on the soundtrack, Rhythm of Zamunda, for the latest Hollywood blockbuster, Coming 2 America. In a YouTube video shared today, 10 March 2021, NPR selected six songs from the compilation for an 18-minute musical montage that can now be streamed on the American media company’s flagship live music platform, Tiny Desk, which is broadcast on YouTube.

All the featured artists performed their respective songs that are on the soundtrack, opening with Nasty C and Ari Lennox’s Black And White. Towards the middle, R&B newcomer, Ricky Tyler, performed his single, Everything, and finally, Prince Kaybee was joined by Msaki for Fetch Your Life. The virtual concert saw the musicians performing in an intimate setting, with décor that matched the theme of the movie.

In a statement from Universal Music today, 10 March 2021, Prince Kaybee and Msaki collectively stated, “It’s really an honour that Fetch Your Life is a part of telling the story of the time and the connection between [Africa and America]. It feels like a privilege to be able to dream and it shouldn’t be that way.”
