South African rapper, Nasty C, posted a video on Instagram sharing his ‘Japanese Drip video’. The video details the role that style and fashion plays in his life as a musician and a creative. He begins the video by explaining the kind of impact his fashion sense has on his creativity. He shared that the way he dresses expresses how he feels, and he considers such details important as it influences and inspires his level of creativity. That includes his hairstyles, accessories and everything about his look. “A unique sense of fashion is important to me as an artist…and that allows me to be more creativity, have more fun and show off,” Nasty C shared.
The video features Nasty C sharing what he has since discovered with the ‘Japanese drip’ – slang for fashion sense – and the ground-breaking trends that are coming up in the Japanese fashion scene. “I came out here to find my magic, and I did”, Nasty C said in the video. Being inspired by the level of creativity and highly unique Japanese fashion, Nasty C mentioned that he looks forward to fusing Japanese fashion with African fashion. Some of the fashion items that he discovered during his venture into the latest Japanese fashion trends are said to be influencing global fashion.
Sharing photos of himself being exposed to merchandise that has not even made available yet, Nasty C says he looks forward to sharing more of it as he continues making further discoveries in Japan.
