Netflix has confirmed the imminent return of the original thriller series, You, which will premiere its third season in October 2021.
Netflix took to Twitter on Monday, 30 August 2021, to confirm the return of its original thriller series, You, fronted by Penn Badgley. Badgley plays the role of Joe Goldberg. The series tells the story of “a dangerously charming, intensely obsessive young man who goes to extreme measures to insert himself into the lives of those he is transfixed by.”
Currently set to go into its third season, the second season of the show began with Joe moving to Los Angeles, where he met Love Quinn, played by Victoria Pedretti. His move was an attempt to start again with a new identity and escape his past. Meeting Love is the push of the storyline, as it moves Joe back to his old ways of obsession and violence. However, Love seemingly reflects Joe’s darkness. The second season ended on a cliffhanger, as Love announced that she was pregnant with Joe’s child.
Seemingly, the third season is set to continue with this narrative, with the trailer confirming the child’s name as Henry. You is set to premiere on Netflix on Friday, 15 October 2021.
