Netflix confirms second season of How To Ruin Christmas

Netflix has confirmed the upcoming second season of its first locally made Christmas-themed series, How To Ruin Christmas, which premiered in 2020.

Netflix, on Thursday, 1 April 2021, released a statement confirming the upcoming second season of How To Ruin Christmas. The Christmas-themed series, which premiered to rave reviews in December 2020, has proven to be a success. The series is the first Netflix Christmas-themed special produced in South Africa, starring the likes of Busi Lurayi, Thando Thabethe and Swankie Mafoko, amongst others.

The statement read, “Gearing up for another season honestly feels like getting ready to ‘go home’ for Christmas, where you get to see and catch up with your favourite, and messy, family members. And no families are messier than the Sellos and the Twalas, who are now bound in matrimony. So, it goes without saying that you should expect more drama, laughs, tears and all-around festive season joy in the new season.”

The second season is expected to premiere in December 2021.
