On Monday, 27 April 2020, actors Kale Dinero and Natasha Thahane shared images taken on the set of the upcoming Netflix series, Blood And Water. Some of the visuals show the cast dressed in school uniforms, amid a tense scene. Natasha Thahane is seen posing for the camera, showcasing her character’s costume.
The storyline will follow the exploits of an intelligent yet spontaneous 16-year- old girl, Puleng, as she investigates the cold case of her older sister who was abducted at birth, and during her search, she meets Fikilie “Fiks” Bhele, who joins her on her quest for answers. Blood And Water is directed by one of South Africa’s most notable female directors, Nosipho Dumisa, and produced by Gambit Films, led by Bradley Joshua and Benjamin Overmeyer. Daryne Joshua and Travis Taute serve as co-directors and writers, with Simon Beesley assuming the role of lead editor.
