Ntsiki Mazwai took to Twitter to suggest that she would not mention Bonang Matheba by name in fear of legal repercussions.
Ntsiki Mazwai took to Twitter on Sunday, 6 June 2021, to partake in the slighting of Bonang Matheba. Mazwai’s initial post was in light of the “pretty privilege” social media debate started by influencer, Sarah Langa. Langa was recorded as having acknowledged the existence thereof and owning up to partaking in what would be described as the “pretty privilege” grouping. Moreover, she highlighted the responsibility thereof.
In reference to the video, Mazwai stated, “I have issues with superficial beauty being called pretty… You have literally drawn it on your face.” A Twitter user then commented with before-and-after images of Matheba, providing them as proof of what Mazwai stated. Mazwai then questioned whether the Twitter user has R500 000, referencing the estimated loss of wages Matheba sued podcaster, Rea Gopane for.
Mazwai then suggested that she would not explicitly name Matheba, to avoid possible legal action being pursued against her, as she had previously been taken to court for expressing herself. However, it was not Matheba that pursued legal action against her for her views. DJ Fresh attempted to take Mazwai to court in the past for tweets about his alleged predatory behaviour.
