Ntsiki Mazwai took another dig at Bonang Matheba, suggesting that she is merely a face that functions as window-dressing for White-owned businesses.
Ntsiki Mazwai took to Twitter on Thursday, 5 August 2021, to take a dig at Bonang Matheba. The dig was related to Mazwai’s attempt at illustrating why she believes Rihanna is not a self-made billionaire. Mazwai was commenting on the trending story from Wednesday, 4 August 2021, following the Forbes report on the Fenty brand creator’s estimated net worth now being $1.7 billion.
Mazwai questioned the fact that she was labelled a self-made billionaire, which she did due to Fenty’s association with luxury and fashion house, LVMH. She then suggested that much like Matheba, Rihanna is merely window-dressing for “Whites” to sell alleged Black-owned brands while making a profit. This is in reference to the continued question of who owns Matheba’s House of BNG.
This is despite Matheba having asserted that she is the founder of the brand. The former Top Billing personality, who is currently residing in New York, has explicitly put the fact on her Instagram profile to avoid the continued insinuations that she is not the owner of House of BNG.
See the post below.
Rihanaa is not self made. She is a character like a Bonang. Where whites inject money and sell their projects thru them. https://t.co/ZuIAaiGMLh
