Old Mutual has released a statement confirming the return of its hit continental music search reality show, Old Mutual Amazing Voices, for a second season.
Old Mutual released a statement on Tuesday, 6 April 2021, confirming the imminent return of its popular choral music reality show, Old Mutual Amazing Voices. The first season of the show debuted on television screens in 2019, featuring South Africa’s Vusi Nova as the local lead judge, with Buhle Mda and Morena The Squire as his advisors.
Confirming the return of the popular show, the statement read, “Not even a global pandemic has been able to stop Africa’s amazing voices from being heard. Season two of Old Mutual Amazing Voices singing competition is on its way to TV screens across Africa from 11 April 2021. Since the launch of season two last year, when 546 entries  flooded in for the audition phase, in which the top 10 acapella groups from Nigeria, Ghana, Kenya, Zimbabwe and South Africa will be selected to experience the gruelling judging process as they display their passion and determination competing for the whopping US$ 100 000 grand prize.”
For South African audiences, the show will be simulcast on Mzansi Magic and Mzansi Wethu when it premieres on Sunday, 11 April 2021.
