Pearl Thusi joined Ndivhuwo Muhanelwa on BET Africa’s social media pages to discuss the upcoming season of Behind The Story, which she believes contextualises celebrities.

Pearl Thusi joined social media influencer, Ndivhuwo Muhanelwa, also known as No Chill God, in a Behind The Story-inspired interview on BET Africa’s social media pages on Sunday, 13 September 2020. The clip saw him asking the host about what she believes season four of the show, which premieres on Wednesday, 16 September 2020, will offer viewers. Pearl claimed that the purpose of the show is to give celebrities an open platform to contextualise any controversy they have been involved in, providing a safe and non-judgemental environment to do so.

She stated, “Public figures [or] personalities have their lives splattered on newspapers and tabloids. They have their names dragged through the mud without contextualising the drama. It is really important to contextualise and humanize celebrities and make sure people understand that they are incredible people.”

The season four premiere of Behind The Story will see Pearl interviewing new dad and acclaimed hip-hop artist, Cassper Nyovest.
