Piano City fronted by Bopha star, Young Stunna

Published on

The latest episode of Piano City is fronted by rising amapiano vocalist, Young Stunna, as the series marks the sixth edition of the show.

The Major League DJz took to Instagram on Tuesday, 14 September 2021, to confirm the availability of the sixth episode of their second music-based series, Piano City. The YouTube-based channel aims to highlight the rising stars of amapiano, specifically focusing on amapiano vocalists. Previous features on the series include Boohle, Aymos, Mpho Sebina and Sir Trill.

Young Stunna is arguably one of the most surprising rising stars of the moment. This is as the musician found national acclaim due to the current club anthem, Bopha, by Mellow & Sleazy and Felo Le Tee, featuring DJ Maphorisa, Kabza De Small and Young Stunna. His feature on Piano City provides the public with an introduction to his less known commercial hits. Moreover, the public can now place a face to the voice.

Additional singles included during the live performance are Baxolele, Dlala Captain, Ayeye Bazozwa and Adiwele. The incorporation of actual live renditions is a continuation of the format discovered after the first two episodes.

Why is Piano City featuring Aymos significant?

Aymos marked the third artist to feature on the Major League DJz’s Piano City. Moreover, he marked the first artist featured to deliver live vocals. This is as the artists featured in the two previous episodes were visibly lip syncing.

How many times has Boohle featured on Piano City?

Boohle has only featured once on Piano City and once as part of the third season of Balcony Mix. Moreover, her Piano City performance is currently the second most-watched episode with over 333 000 views, which marks one of two episodes to currently surpass the 100 000 views mark.

Was Sir Trill featured on Piano City?

Sir Trill was the first featured guest on Piano City when it launched back in July 2021. While viewers did critique the fact that the John Wick vocalist was not singing live, the episode is the most-watched of the season so far, with over 1.2 million views. The number being three times higher than the second most-watched episode of the season, which features Boohle.
